Newsletters
The practice newsletter is an excellent contact justification.  The newsletter should not be written by the staff although they should provide input on the articles.  The following are action steps that should be implemented in developing a practice newsletter.

The following are the action steps in the development of a newsletter.
A.  Develop a newsletter name and a masthead that incorporates the logo and the practice name.
B.  Develop and approve story ideas for the first and second newsletter.
C.  Hire a writer to interview subjects (e.g., staff members) and write articles.
D.  Edit the stories and obtain approval.
E.  Develop a mailing list for the distribution based upon the newsletter topic/focus for the quarterly mailings.
F.  Develop a mailing list for an annual distribution to the broader patient base.
G.  Identify a mail house to mail the newsletter.
H.  Typeset and lay out stories with pictures, if applicable.
I.    Print the newsletter.
J.   Distribute the newsletter and post its content on the Web page.
